Volunteer at Notre Dame Education Center

From the start in 1992, volunteers have played a critical role at NDEC. Our volunteers are a diverse group — college students, homemakers, retirees, and professionals in a wide range of fields. We are always looking for committed individuals willing to share their time and skills with our students.

The Many Roles for Volunteers

Anchor 1

Academic Support

  • Work in the classroom or as a tutor to help students overcome subject-area deficits, reinforce study skills, and develop confidence and self-esteem.

Fundraising and Community Outreach

  • Help NDEC forge community connections and nurture existing relationships to ensure that we can continue to make a difference.

Mentorship and Professional Development

  • Help students gain exposure to career paths and develop critical professional skills. We actively seek intership site partners, and those willing to participate in industry panels, job fairs, and mock interviewing events.

IT Support

  • Use your tech savvy to help support back office operations at NDEC, or to teach students in-demand skills.

Event Planning

  • Work with other partners to plan our annual fundraising gala and other community events.

Miscellaneous

  • Tell us how you'd like to help, or ask us how you can lend a hand. Community support is always welcome!
