Volunteers of
different ages, cultures, and backgrounds share their
expertise, time and talents with the students by accompanying
them in the educational process as tutors. This relationship
encourages the students to stay in their program
of
study.NDEC's
volunteers come from various neighborhoods within the greater
Boston area. At present, we have 45 volunteers working with
students one-on-one or in a classroom setting. Our volunteers
are a precious asset to our Center.

 Volunteers are
young men and women who give at least one year of service to
NDEC teaching in the Adult Literacy, GED, and ESOL programs.
They are an integral and dynamic part of
the learning process of the students and bring to
the Center the gifts of their passion, their energy, and their
laughter.
